2023 Season Events

The Cybertitans competed in two Chesapeake district events. The weekend of March 18th-19th, they competed at Hayfield Secondary School in Alexandria, VA. The following weekend, March 25-26, they were at Dulaney High School in Timonium, MD. See the pictures and text below for more details on how the team fared in these events.

Chesapeake Week 3 - Alexandria, VA

The Cybertitans travelled to Alexandria, VA to compete at Hayfield Secondary School on March 17-19, 2023. While their 5-7 record and ranking of 31 out of 40 was not a true indication of the quality of their robot, the team had a great learning experience that even included being ranked as the #1 team following the first few matches! The highlight was the final match on Saturday, when the team participated in a three-team mounting of and balancing on the charging station in a victory for their red alliance, bringing their Saturday record to 4-4.

Chespeake Week 4 - Timonium, MD

March 24-26, the team competed at Dulaney High School with 35 other teams. Once again, the team started strong, winning their first four matches and being ranked #1 for a short period of time. Unfortunately, after that, the team experienced 8 straight losses, with a few robot issues along the way, to finish up 4-8-0 with a final ranking of 29. Still, a good time was had by all and we did manage an autonomous mount and balance in one of our last matches.

2022 Season Events

Eighteen teams competed during a full day of (11) matches. Although not fully operational until Friday evening, Velcrobot performed admirably, competing in all eleven matches and delivering numerous balls to the lower hub. Final ranking was 15th out of 18.

The Cybertitans finished with a 5-5 record and ranked 10th, but unfortunately were not selected for an alliance. The climber performed flawlessly, with successful climbs in each of its eight deployments (six mid and two low bar climbs).
